About Shway Shway

Why this exists, and what the name means.

Shway shway is Levantine Arabic for little by little. It is how people say “slow down, you'll get there” — and it is the whole idea behind this product. Better golf is built one purposeful session at a time, not in a breakthrough.

The problem

Most golfers practice. Far fewer can say whether their practice is working. You hit balls, the session feels fine, and months later your scores haven't moved — with no way to tell which part of the work was wasted.

Launch monitors made data cheap. They did not make practice better. A screen full of numbers still leaves the two questions that matter unanswered: what should I work on today, and is it reaching the course.

The method

Everything here runs one loop:

Assess — your shots and your rounds go in the same place, so the diagnosis comes from your actual game.
Prescribe — you get one focus and a session built around it, rather than a menu of drills.
Practice to a standard — every drill has a pass criterion. Eight of ten inside the gate, not “felt good today”.
Prove it — your practice benchmark sits next to your scoring, so you can see whether the work is transferring.

The sessions run on a three-day rhythm — Data Day, Skills Day, Transfer Day — that moves from grooving a pattern, to holding it under pressure, to playing with it.

What it isn't

It isn't a launch monitor, and it doesn't sell you one — it reads the one you already own, by CSV or a photo of the screen. It isn't an analytics dashboard either. The numbers exist to decide what you practice next; if a chart doesn't change a decision, it doesn't belong.

And it won't claim more than the data supports. Where the evidence is a signal rather than proof, it says so.

The beta

Shway Shway is an independent beta, built and run by one person — so support is direct and the roadmap is short and honest. It's free while in beta.

You can explore the live demo without an account — it runs a real guided session with sample data — or start free with your own.
